Bess Abrahams has an integrative, relational and systems approach to psychotherapy. She came to psychotherapy after working in end-of-life care at a children’s hospital as a mind-body interventionist for pain management. Currently engaged in trauma-informed approaches to treating anxiety and depression as well as somatic-based practices, Bess’s approach emphasizes self-awareness and self-acceptance as the guide to the client’s own healing.
Bess Abrahams earned her social work degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and holds a BA from Oberlin College in Political Science and Women’s Studies. She is also a certified yoga therapist. She sees children, adolescents and adults.
