Christopher Higgins was born and raised on Long Island but has been a proud New York City resident for 18 years. Chris graduated from Columbia University with a BA in psychology and sociology in 2006 and received his MSW from the Columbia School of Social Work in 2016. He also did additional graduate work in forensic psychology at CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice. When not working as a therapist, Chris devotes some of his time as an emergency dispatcher for the American Red Cross in Greater New York coordinating response and the dispensing of assistance to clients affected by fires or other natural disasters in New York City, Long Island, Eastern New York, and New Jersey.
