John J. Genovese is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who gained his education from New York University. He has over a decade of experience in private practice and inpatient psychiatric settings where he strives to help clients and their families create healthier, more fulfilling lifestyles.
With respect and compassion, John tends to the emotional suffering, traumas, addictions, risky behaviors and relationship difficulties we all experience during our lifetime. More so, he acknowledges the strengths and resilient qualities we all possess to actively deal with life’s challenges in a constructive and meaningful way.
John’s psychotherapy practice is integrated and informed by his extensive training with experts in dialectical-behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis and mind/body interventions. He also provides training to the next wave of psychotherapists as a supervisor for Columbia University graduate students.
