
Yasmin Badran is a Mental Health Counselor–Limited Permit (MHC-LP) providing psychotherapy services to adults ages 18 and up. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Yasmin works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and other mood and stress-related concerns.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to support clients in developing insight, emotional balance, and coping strategies. Yasmin is bilingual in English and Arabic and is committed to offering a culturally sensitive and inclusive therapeutic environment.
Yasmin’s counseling philosophy is grounded in compassion and authenticity. She believes, as Lori Deschene beautifully states, “You don’t have to be positive all the time… Having feelings doesn’t make you a ‘negative person.’ It makes you human.”
